Three Winners in 3 days

Graham Richardson has been in good form of late with another 3 winners over 3 days. Having only her third career start, exciting filly Mosh Pit powered down the outside of the field to win by a head over 1400m at Ellerslie on the 26th December.
Down the line at Taranaki, Green Wings burst out the gates to lead all the way for an impressive 3 length victory in a 1000m 2 year old maiden race on the 27th December at Taranaki.
The following day Jeroboam by O’Reilly, also having only his third career start fought on well to win over 1600m at Ellerslie on the 28th December.

A Trifecta for Richardson

Race 2 on the cards at Matamata’s ever popular ‘Christmas at the races’ meeting proved to be an exciting race for team Richardson and all the owners who turned up to watch their horses run. The stable trained the 1st, 2nd and 3rd as well as 5th place in The Elders Livestock maiden over 1200m with only a short neck and a head between the first three. Bellacat (by Black Minnaloushe) jumped well from barrier 2 to take the lead throughout and ran a bold race to score by a short neck with Positivenergy gaining an extra head to pass third placed Allanah before the line to finish 2nd. El Volante ran on well to finish in 5th place.

Mydiamond Bracelet (Al Akbar) won her first black type event when putting in a thrilling finish
to win the
Listed Ag & Turf Sprint worth $45,000 over 1400m on the 10
th December at Te Rapa. Jumping straight to the front,
Mydiamond Bracelet was then happy to take a sit to trail the leader’s one out in 4
thspot. Rounding Te Rapa’s sweeping bend, jockey Harry Kasim popped the question at the 350m where she lengthened stride to easily hit the lead with 200m to go. A well judged ride by Harry saw the Al Akbar mare win by half a head in a time of 1.21.64. Congratulations to the winning owners.
Single Minded wins at Te Rapa

Single Minded (Bachelor Duke) put in a fine display to win the $25,000 Dunstan Feeds Championship Premier over 2400m on the 10
th December at Te Rapa. Jumping well from barrier 15, Single Minded made use of a straight run to move forward and across to slot over nicely in 2
nd spot where he settled throughout. Pacemaker Alignadreams put on the pace at the 800m mark to take a 2 and a half length break from the field of 16. Jockey Craig Grylls never let the leader get away and took the lead at the 200m mark. Despite a challenging duo by second placegetter Suaza, Single Minded never gave in to win by a long head in a time of 2.26.14.
A Supreme Win at Ellerslie

Green Supreme (by Oasis Dream) outperformed his rivals to win the Stella Artois Mile worth $25,000 at Ellerslie over 1600m at Ellerslie on the 26th November. Ridden by top jockey James McDonald, Green Supreme was placed back in the field throughout. Rounding the home turn, James McDonald steered Green Supreme into the clear and the 5 year old gelding launched an amazing performance to run down the field. Green Supreme won by a neck in a time of 1.34.26. Congratulations to the owners, it was a superb win.
