The More The Merrier

Matamata trainer Graham Richardson has a strong hand in two Te Rapa features, writes Aidan Rodley.

Graham Richardson is making a habit of getting multiple winners on feature days.

The Matamata trainer produced Atom Cat to win the Listed Matamata Cup and Show Up to win the feature sprint at his hometown meeting eight weeks ago and last month produced Miss Upstart to win the Listed Murdoch Newell Stakes at Pukekohe and Italian Princess to win the Listed Counties Bowl on the same programme.

He has a solid chance of doing the same thing at Te Rapa on Saturday when he will saddle Miss Upstart in the Listed $45,000 Wentwood Grange Stakes (1100m) and both Show Up and Megan's Tough Love in the Listed $45,000 Ag And Turf Sprint (1400m).

Pint-sized filly Miss Upstart has won two of her three races and will vie for favouritism in the race with the unbeaten John Sargent-trained Savabill........read more

Matamata-based trainer Graham Richardson and jockey Michael Coleman combined to win dual Listed level races at Pukekohe Park on Saturday.

 
Classy two-year-old filly Miss Upstart (Snippetson) was successful in the Listed Murdoch Newell Stakes (1100m). Then the pair were back in winners circle when Italian Princess (NZ) took out the Listed Counties Bowl (1100m).....read more
